Various names of Patricia Russell. Born Marjorie Spence, she changed her name to Patricia Helen Spence. She was called Peter by her friends and family. She changed her name to Patricia Helen Russell on her marriage. She resumed the use of Patricia Spence ("Mrs. P.H. Spence") on her divorce.

(The writer signs himself with the Greek letter delta. Delta may be the David she refers to in letters to BR of late 1934 and 1935. He seems to have a friend Vanessa. Delta writes from Lady Margaret Hall, and 6 Park Cres., Oxford.)
