BR declines a request as his time is booked till the end of March and in April he has writing to do. He is distressed that the volume on him is still not published.

The donor of the copies, John Manchester, wrote on 1 August 1972 that "There are no dates on either letter but apparently one had a postmarked envelope as U. of T. listed them as "nd, (19) 18 April 27" (letter to K. Blackwell). Since Russell wrote the other letter from Gordon Square, this must be the 1927 letter. The date cannot be derived from the content of the letter (at least not yet).

8 Dec. 2022: The new scan of this letter includes an envelope. It is postmarked "27APR18", i.e. 27 April 1918. However, the envelope belongs to the undated letter at record 112932, which would fit into it; this one wouldn't.
