"My Darling—Your dear letter has just reached me."
BR TO CONSTANCE MALLESON, [4 MAR. 1917]
BRACERS 19127. ALS. McMaster

Your dear letter has just reached me. I loved seeing you. I don’t believe money would have worried you so much if you had not been ill anyhow. I tried to explain to Miles3 how your situation could be dealt with — it seems to me perfectly manageable — not a thing to cause serious worry.
I am just off to the office. I am sorry I have forgotten the address of the Cottage — but for the present I gather you will be at 44 Gt. Cd. Pl.4
I want to think of you really resting, and not worrying. There is absolutely nothing to worry over — but you have been poisoned by being ill and it makes things seem worse than they are. Dentistry, food and sleep are the real necessaries!
My Darling, my loved one, my thoughts are with you always — I long to see you well and happy again —
B.
