Thursday

My dear Gamel

Thank you for your very understanding letter.

Unfortunately Wed. of next week won’t do for me — I have a lecture to a body called the National Book League in London.1 The following Wednesday, Oct. 30, would suit me. I hope you can come then. There are trains from Liverpool Street at 10.0 and 11.50 — I recommend the former — I will meet you at the station. We shall have to lunch at a restaurant but I can give you tea in my rooms. Tuesday 29th is also possible for me, but the 30th is better.

I do want to see you. Would you consider staying the night at a hotel in Cambridge?

Goodbye with love.

B.
