Dear Unwin

I am very very sorry that in the confusion of moving house your letter of April 18 got mislaid. I have now succeeded in recovering it. I have much pleasure in accepting the invitation to give the suggested lecture to the National Book League, provided the date is not before October 8 and not on a Thursday. I think perhaps “The influence of philosophers on politics”1 or some such title would be suitable; I could utilize material from my History.

Do you know yet when it will be published?

Yours apologetically
Bertrand Russell

P.S. I have not yet had your annual statement of sales of my books. My address is now Trinity College, not Grosvenor Lodge.
