BR TO ALLEN AND UNWIN / STANLEY UNWIN, 6 DEC. 1945
BRACERS 48042. ALS(X). George Allen and Unwin Ltd.

Dear Unwin

On reflection, I would rather support than introduce a motion1 about paper for and export of books, as I am financially interested. I have said so to Lord Holden, who wrote to me on the subject.

I shall be in London for the day on Dec. 17, and if it suited you I could either lunch with you or come to your office in the early afternoon. It would be a pleasure to see you.

It is most kind of you to offer me a further advance on the History. It may be very useful to me, as I am selling this house and may have to buy another before I get paid for this one. But unless that happens I shall be in no immediate need.

Yours very sincerely
Bertrand Russell
