Dear Mr Russell,
I should like to say once more how grateful I am for your kindness in allowing me to attend your Lectures this term — it was the interest I felt in the Preface and some of the early chapters of your Principles of Mathematics that emboldened me to ask you — What spare time I have is given to Logic, and your general view makes one recognise that, for any department of the subject, some acquaintance with ‘Symbolic Logic’ ought to be obtained —
And I share the gratitude and admiration that which so many feel for your services to the advance of thought.
I am
Yours sincerely
EEC Jones —
