the fee It was a “special” fee of 45 guineas because of the “special importance” of the “Atomic Energy” series. Boswell’s letter of 26 Feb. is at record 57566. In records 57551 and 57559, Harman Grisewood, BBC Director of Talks, first wrote Russell about the invitation, but his reply does not survive. “The Outlook for Mankind” was originally titled “The Situation Created for Mankind”. The Listener published it on 13 March (B&R C47.05). The talk is extant on audio records. It is reprinted, in a pamphlet with an introduction (70b) by Russell linking it to United Europe and World Government movements, and as 70a in Collected Papers 24.
