Dear Celeste

It was a great disappointment to me not to be able to come and see you again. At the last moment, Feakins got a number of fresh engagements for me, so that my only night in New York was the night of the Debate, and the following day was entirely occupied in making a movie of the Debate, when Rabbi Wise showed himself quite the temperamental artiste.

Thank you very much for the cigarettes, which are delicious. I remember them in connection with you before.

Please give my love to Jackie. I wish she was coming back to the school with me. My sentiments towards yourself are as you know.

Yours
Bertrand Russell.
