BR praises Murray's Times letter on Ossietsky; Clifford Allen's letter "nauseated" him. He asks if Mary wishes to have the large picture of her mother and BR's.

Dear Gilbert
May I say how very glad I am of your letter in yesterday’s Times? Allen’s letter on the same subject some weeks ago nauseated me, and I was glad you repudiated it. All you say about Ossietski is just what one wished to have said.
Yours ever
B.R.

I suppose Mary doesn’t want the large picture of her mother and mine, painted just before they were married, which hangs on my staircase? I have just sold this house, and shall never have another large enough for it. If you could house it and would like it, I should like to lend it indefinitely, probably for ever.
