Dear Gilbert

Thank you for your letter of Dec. 2. I thought the matter over, and have now written to Thornton Butterworth on the subject of their proposed terms. I am glad you think one can relate historical facts honestly. It seems to me there will be lots of amusing material to be discovered in old sermons and debates in the Lords and so forth.

Yours ever
B.R.
