Dear Sir,
My husband has asked me to thank you for your very kind and very interesting letter. He is very glad to know that his books are a comfort to you but very sorry to hear that such a wave of romanticism is sweeping over Germany, as nonsense cannot be cured by nonsense but only by the sort of detailed thought which alas to many people seems “flat”.
I do not know where in Germany you can get my husband’s book for many people complain that they are unable to obtain them. I am, therefore, sending you a copy of his most recent book Human Knowledge and hope that you will lend it as widely as possible. If there is anything else you specially require please let me know and I will send you a copy if possible, though, unfortunately, many of my husband’s books are out of print in England now and quite unobtainable.
Yours sincerely,
