BAGLEY WOOD,
OXFORD.
Thursday
Dearest Alys
Goldie’s father is dead, so Goldie will not come this week-end, I am wondering what to say in writing to him.
Yesterday I worked all day, and got another chapter done. Today I am going to tea with Margaret, and Crompton and I are dining with Mary Sheepshanks. At our Comee. we have to consider a substitute for Women’s Franchise, which has been reported on by a Sub-Comee. — I hope your party was a great success.
Thine aff
Bertie.
