Just off for a long day to Agordo, in Italy. Tomorrow we sleep at Belluno. Yesterday was a very good day; the Rolle Pass, where we had slept, was an excellent place, from which I went up an Alp in the early morning. We had our second breakfast at San Martino, a place full of big hotels and nothing else; then we bought some fruit, bathed after 1½ hours’ walk, and came on here after the heat of the day was gone off. This place is low, but today we go high again, and then down.
