Dear Dora
I was very sorry to hear from John of your husband’s death. I fear it is a great grief to you.
I should be quite willing to see Roddy, or you and Roddy, if it could be arranged. But I expect to be here till late September, so it might be difficult before then. Getting into any College at Cambridge is very difficult now-a-days; I have failed in various cases where I have made the attempt. I do not know what steps ought to be taken, and I am afraid I can’t be much help.
If you feel it sufficiently important, you and Roddy could see me by coming to a hotel not far from here,
The Oakley Arms
Tan-y-Bwlch
near Penrhyndeudraeth, N. Wales
I am alone here till July.
Yours
BR
