My Darling Treasure —

All goes well here. We had a prosperous journey; John enjoyed it hugely, and flirted with two charming ladies. When he got here, he ran in and out of all the rooms, and at last began climbing the stairs to the attic, thinking he would find his old nursery there. He was very happy while he came to the end of the perfect day and was left alone without his bottle — then he cried indignantly, though he had had as much milk as if he had had a bottle. He is wild with delight at the daffodils here; he cries to be held up to the window where he can see them. They are nice.

Littlewood will get into your train at Plymouth on Monday. Daisy’s grandmother’s 70th birthday is Sunday, so I am letting Daisy go home to Helston and come back Monday morning. There is not much for her to do till you come.

It is heavenly here. The blackthorn is out — the daffodils and gorse are glorious, and the elm undergrowth is getting green. Gulls in flocks are in all the fields round the house. There is no wind, and it is very warm.

I found the string of my panama, inside the hat. Thanks for soap. Coffee grinder was left behind. Otherwise everything all right — the things sent by goods came out with us yesterday. I have read Kimono — not very good. I miss you dreadfully my Darling — it is so lovely here. How heavenly it will be when you come. All my love, my lovely Darling.
