Dearest Colette
Your letter of Aug. 222 came this morning. I have sent £203 to Miss Fish.4 How lovely it will be if you get to London. I have to be in Cambridge every Thursday5 from Oct. 9 on, but otherwise I hope not to have very many engagements. I am afraid the plan of coming to Sweden is off — they say no Swedes will go to lectures in June (I don’t blame them!) and I can’t come before then. You must let me know your address in London, which I have forgotten.
We are now in Wales:6
Festiniog, N. Wales
is the address. We shall come back to London at the end of September, when Conrad goes back to school.7
Very much love. Longing for your arrival.8

sent £20 It is not clear what is going on with this money. £20 was the amount that C.D. Broad was not able to give to Colette. On 20 November 1947, he wrote: “I got your £20, which was correct. Thank you” (BRACERS 19843).
