Dearest Colette

Thank you very much for your book,2 which arrived on my birthday. I am very glad to have it. John3 was delighted with your letter,4 and keenly interested about the aeroplane.

I am glad to know you are back, and I hope it will be possible to see you soon. Will you be in London any time? If so, I could see you, but I can’t well get anywhere else just now. — Your telegram of birthday wishes has come while I have been writing. Thank you. I do hope London will be possible. Thursdays, Sats. and Sundays don’t suit me, but any other day does. — We are going on with the school,5 and there is much to do. Best love.

B.
