Thank you for your dear letter this morning. I enclose trains. If the train arriving 4.50 at Buxton is too late for you, we can come up to London — there are hotels here as well as at Lewes, if we feel in that mood — Please let me know if 4.50 is time enough —

    C.A. and friends go Tuesday To Russia, 27 April 1920, sailing from Newcastle. BR had been interviewed the previous day by H.A.L. Fisher, who recommended that BR be allowed to accompany the British Labour Delegation to Russia. Fisher, President of the Board of Education, acted on behalf of the Cabinet (Papers 15: xxi).
