My Beloved

Thank you for your little letter. I am sorry too that Miss Oldroyd hadn’t done your typing as I am longing to see it. I am sorry you have to have such a beastly weekend.4 It sounds too dreadful —

Today I wrote a review of Donald Hankey (Nation) and an article for Clarté.5

Miss Black6 has decided to come to London for 2 nights to see if we can adjust our differences. She arrives tonight and goes Monday — I don’t know what will come of it.

Tomorrow night I dine with Ottoline7 in Chelsea —

My Heart’s Life I do love you — I keep thinking of you every minute — wondering where you are and what your mood is, wishing I could be more use to you — I send you 1000 tender thoughts and all my heart, Beloved —
