My Heart’s Treasure
I am so sorry about Clare4 — it is dreadful for her — I hope you will be able to comfort her — will she want to come here Oct. 1st.? Surely she ought not to be quite alone. She can have the rooms, but Randall5 hasn’t yet let me know the rent. It would certainly be much less than he charges me. Could you let me know as soon as possible whether she still wants them.
Bob6 is great fun and gives life to the party. We read Tchehov7 aloud in the evenings. But oh I shall be glad to be back in London where I can be with my Darling. You have drawn my life into yourself — away from you I only half exist — but the thought of your love fills me with deep happiness, every moment — Goodbye my Heart’s Comrade8 — I love you utterly.
