My dear dear Love

Your second telegram4 yesterday did warm my heart most beautifully — thank you for it. I am so longing to be with you that for the present I have no joy in this place5 — it is still beautiful but my heart is elsewhere — I keep wondering what has made you unhappy, longing to know, and to comfort you if I can. There is no letter from you this morning. This is my last letter before we meet — 1.10 Waterloo Saturday. O my Beloved, the joy of being with you again — there is no full life for me but with you — it is only with you that all my being vibrates and feels — I am yours, my Heart’s Comrade,6 yours to all eternity.
