My Darling Love
Your letter of Thursday reached me today — I feel as if some of mine had not reached you — I have written every day, to the Attic.3 I am now hoping for a telegram from you — I can come up Thursday, in which case I arrive Waterloo 6.15. If I come Friday, I shall arrive Waterloo 1.20. I will come whichever you choose. It would be lovely if you could meet me. I gather from your letter4 that you don’t want to leave London at present — I hope that isn’t the case but if it is I will stay a week if you can have me.
Dear One, it is so beautiful here5 — I walked alone in the twilight last night, and the beauty made me ache, and I did long for you. It was a pain, I wanted you so much — The sea and coast are wonderful — we work in the morning, then walk and bathe — This is a perfect place and I love it.
You tell me no word of your plans or prospects — I want to know —
Goodbye sweet love — I will add a line on plans at the P.O. if there is a telegram. All my heart longs for you Dearest —
B.
Sunday
Your wire came too late for last night’s post — Now I have your dear dear letter — You had not told me one syllable about work-plans — I have nothing to tell as our days are uniform and quiet — I will come Thursday, Waterloo 6.15, and stay any time up to a week if you can stay at Bury Str.6 and can’t come away — I will try to help you Dearest — but it is hard, missing all this time — the beauty here just hurts because you are not with me — Heart’s Life, I long for you —
Post going — Goodbye Beloved — Bless you for your letter —
