My Darling
I was glad of your little note4 this morning — Miles5 rang up to know if I would dine with him, but I am engaged to the Whiteheads6 — I don’t know if I shall be able to go to them as I am laid up with piles — I may be well again at any moment but if not I must keep quiet. I am feeling very slack altogether and good for nothing — It is a nuisance as it stops my work — Apart from health I am verya happy.
All my love Darling — Blessings on you —
