My Darling
It was lovely to get your dear little letter when I arrived yesterday — none came this morning but I shall hope to find one at Gordon Sq.4 tomorrow —
It is painful being here5 now-a-days — I want to give more, and I can’t. Gertler,6 Brett,7 Huxley8 (the permanent inhabitants) are here — no one else.
My Darling I long for you — all the moments are long till you are back.
I haven’t leisure for a proper letter here — my love, my dear one, my heart is with you always and you fill my life with joy — Goodbye my sweetest dear.
