My Dearest
Only a moment for one line. I have had nothing yesterday which made me think you were still rather ill. I shall hope for a line by the post which is just coming. Yesterday I was tired but an extraordinary amount of sleep has got rid of my depressions and fancies. I do hope you are better. It is trying when there are no letters — but it was a good thing in one way because it made it easier to play my role of the melancholy man. If I am cheerful today, they will attribute that to themselves.
Yesterday we went to see Noel Vaughan Williams, the judge’s farmer daughter. Bob tried to milk a cow without much success — it was an amusing spectacle.
Dearest I must stop. My thoughts are with you every moment — I love you I love you. I hope for tomorrow.
Your loving
B
