My Darling
I haven’t time for a proper letter, but I will write again this evening. This morning quite unexpectedly Miss Silcox wrote to say she was in Cambridge and proposed herself to lunch today — she goes immediately after lunch. Thursday Mrs Webb comes; so your visit will seem most natural. — I have to go to my lecture in a moment. I hope to meet a letter from you as I go to it, and I shall keep this open in case. Tomorrow you had better go to Trinity Great Gate, walk right across the Court, up the steps to the Hall, then into the Cloisters. I am on the right, the second staircase.
Now I must be off to my lecture. I am longing for tomorrow. I will add a few words after my lecture. This afternoon I am going a bicycle ride with North Whitehead, so I shan’t be back in time for the afternoon post.
Later Your dear dear letter just came — Such a joy to get it. Yes, 8.44 I see is the last train — I didn’t know it. We will dine 7.30 and you can have a cab at 8.30. — Everything in your letter is just what I feel about you. Darling I must stop — I wish I had time to go on writing. I love you utterly.
Your loving
B
