Dear Gerald

It was a great pleasure to hear from you, and I am glad you liked my Reith lectures. I look forward to your History of Spanish Literature, which I am sure will be exciting.

I should like to pay you a visit in the summer if feasible. The last time I was in Ramsbury was in 1893, when I stayed at the Manor; the Burdetts, to whom it belonged, were childhood friends.

Love to Gamel and yourself —

Yrs ever
B.R.
