Dear Sir,

Thank you for your letter of 7th February.1 I much regret that, owing to the illness of Lord Russell, this has been overlooked until now.

Unfortunately, owing to his recent illness, Lord Russell feels that he should avoid taking on any more extra work, and I much regret, therefore, that he will not be able to make a contribution to the new series of talks in your Eastern Service.

Yours faithfully,
<signed> Joséphine Hall.
