Dear Mr. Hansson,

Thank you for your letter of the 13th and for your kind congratulations also for the Swedish edition of my Unpopular Essays which I have duly received.

My wife will not be accompanying me to Stockholm as she is in bad health. I am afraid I cannot stay on as I have a number of engagements made here before I knew that I should have to go to Stockholm.

I am also, unfortunately, unable to give you anything for your magazine which would be helpful, and have not two minutes in which to write anything special for you.
