Thank you for your letter. I had not heard of your father’s death, which I much regret as I had a considerable admiration for him.

I am very willing to join the Society of the Haters of Plato on the assumption that there is no subscription and that there are no duties except to keep alive the flame of hatred.

I saw the review in the Kansas City Star which someone — not a press cutting agency — was kind enough to send me, and it gave me much pleasure.
