Dear Professor Schilpp

Thank you for your letter of Feb. 9. I am sorry to refuse your request, but my time is booked till the end of March, and in April I have writing to do,1 and do not wish to make lecture engagements.

I do not care to see page proofs of my autobiography. I am distressed that the book is still so far from publication. I expect to be still here in April, so I hope you will send complimentary copies here.

With all best wishes,

Yours sincerely
Bertrand Russell.

in April I have writing to do Most likely B&R C44.07. “Can Americans and Britons Be Friends?” for the Saturday Evening Post (28 in Collected Papers 24) was among the tasks. There were minor pieces as well, and perhaps preparation for lecturing at Trinity.
