Dear Professor Reichenbach
Thank you for your letter of November 14th and also for your Theory of Probability. I have not yet had time to study it as I have been on a lecturing tour in America but I will do so before long.
Your son’s manuscript is concerned with matters about which I do not know very much and my judgement is not therefore that of an expert. He tells me that he has written a large book but all that I have read is an abstract.
So far as I was able to judge it showed a very high order of ability especially in bringing together a number of different subjects and showing how they bear on each other.
He has difficulty in fitting into any conventional groove but I am convinced that his ability is very great.
With best wishes,
Yours very cordially,
