Dear Mr Bradley,

Please accept my best thanks for your kindness in sending me the new edition of your Logic. I am very glad there is a new edition, and very proud of having it as a gift from you. Your Logic was very nearly the first philosophical book that I read carefully, nearly thirty years ago; and the admiration which I felt for it then has never diminished. I see that there is a good deal of new matter, which I shall read at my first spare moment.
