My dear Elizabeth
I am very very disappointed, but I don’t think I can manage a week-end at Shiffolds just now. I have to go first to The Hague and then to Sweden, and to fit in my lectures at Cambridge in between, and this means that every spare moment must be given to preparation. Later, I am going also first to Amsterdam and then to Norway. I shall have more spare time in Oct. and Nov. and will hope to come then. I am sorry, but I think these foreign journeys are important.
Yours aff
B.R.
