BR is "atrociously busy". He tells where they will be living: Hotel Portmeirion until Sept. 20; then they will take Conrad to Dartington; BR will then go to Trinity College and Patricia to the flat they believe they have secured in London. BR will often stay in London for the night.

My dear Elizabeth
Thank you for your letter. We are here till Sp. 20; then we take Conrad to Dartington; then I return to Trinity and Peter to a flat which (we believe) we have secured in London. I shall be often in London for the night. Our “Welsh hermitage” will not be habitable till Easter at the earliest. I do not think it will be possible for either Peter or me to come to Shiffolds before the Xmas holidays, and perhaps not then. I am sorry, as I should very much like to see you and Bob, but I am atrociously busy.
Ever yours aff
B.R.
