Dearest Miriam
It was very sad not seeing you before I sailed, but at the end my departure was sudden. I hope you may some day come to Europe!
I am glad to hear that your problems have been solved. By this time your honeymoon must be ended. I don’t know your new name. I wish you all happiness.
We are settled in Cambridge; we have bought a house, and I have rooms in College. John is still in London learning Japanese — he is a naval officer — but will be going out to the East soon, and staying at least until the Japanese war is over. Kate has just arrived from America, having got her degree “summa cum laude”.
I know Norwalk — I have lectured there and also visited friends.
Very much love.
Yours ever
Bertrand Russell
