Dear Kate
Thank you for your very interesting letter of Feb. 3. I like knowing the sort of things you tell me about your psychology, and you need never hesitate to go into them at any length.
As to your coming to England this summer, I can see that it is perhaps not worth it in view of the money troubles. Or course in England there is your own money, to keep you while here. But I doubt if you would gain as much as you would lose by coming.
The most interesting part of your letter, to me, was your account of your fears. I don’t find your state of mind at all difficult to imagine. I believe it has to do with celibacy. It is not a matter for philosophy, but for a psychiatrist. If it goes on, you should find one to replace Gillespie. I am sure talking about it is good for you. But I think you should take it quite seriously, as a kind of illness, to be treated scientifically, not morally. I haven’t time at the moment to write about the rest of your letter. This is just to say do find a sympathetic psychiatrist. I can pay him. Much love.
Your aff
Diddy
