Dear Gilbert,

Thank you for your letter. The story about Granville Barker and Jane is that Granville Barker came to see Verrall to ask him what a Mycenaean hut was like and that Verrall replied “Nobody knows, but Miss Harrison will tell you.” I believe Verrall denied the story, but no one accepted his denial.

I am now completely recovered and, as advertisements would say, better than new.
