Dear Sir Stanley,
My husband asks me to tell you that he is so busy he can’t take on the introduction to the Schopenhauer volume. He has a great deal on hand and gets rather tired.
You will be interested to hear that we have been busy for some weeks sorting and reading old papers in preparation for an Autobiography — an occupation which will take us much of our evenings for years I should say. Apart from its personal interest the book should be a valuable piece of social history, and I hope one of the best things he has done. — But that is a long way ahead.
When we get back to London Russell will go through The Practice and Theory of Bolshevism, decide what should be omitted, and write a Preface.1 We haven’t a copy here.
Yours sincerely
Patricia Russell.
