Thank you for your letter. I quite concur in your selection. I asked my lawyer’s opinion, but haven’t yet had it.
Some misunderstanding seems to have arisen as to the royalties you recently paid to Lady Russell. Would you be so kind as to let me know the amount, when it was paid, and when she acknowledged it. She telegraphed to me on the 8th to say she only had sevenpence left in the world.
