BR TO ALLEN AND UNWIN / STANLEY UNWIN, 26 OCT. 1949
BRACERS 48171. ALS(X). George Allen and Unwin Ltd.
Proofread by K. Blackwell

FESTINIOG, N. Wales.
26.10.49

Dear Unwin

I find I have enough reprintable essays to make a volume of about 70,000 words. If this is too long, some could easily be omitted. In fact, they seem to me of very unequal value.

I shall be in London Sat. to Tuesday (29th to 1st) and could come to see you Monday morning if you wished. I shall be staying at

Milestone Hotel,
Kensington High Str.

The volume might be called Unpopular Essays, as all the essays are popular.

Yrs sinc.
Russell.
