BR highly approves of his photograph in last Sunday's Observer.

He would like Authority to be published in the spring if possible.

BR TO ALLEN AND UNWIN, 1 FEB. 1949
BRACERS 48155. TLS(X). George Allen and Unwin Ltd.

1st February 1949.

George Allen & Unwin Ltd.,

Dear Sirs,

I believe that Sir Stanley is in America, and I do not know who is in authority in his absence.

I am writing to know whether you think it will be possible to bring out the Reith Lectures in the Spring, provided that I send you the extra material very soon.

It would obviously be of great advantage if they could be published while the interest is fresh. I wish also to know whether Freedom and Organization is in print.

I am glad to see the reprint of Bolshevism, for which I thank you.

The photograph in last Sunday’s Observer is, I believe, the property of the Observer. It is certainly not my property,a and if it is not the Observer’s, the Observer will know whose it is. I agree with you that it was a very good photograph.

Yours faithfully,
<signed> Russell.
