Dear Unwin,
Thank you for your two letters. As regards The Scientific Outlook, I should be delighted to have it appear as a Guild Book1 as you suggest. Do you wish it brought up to date? I do not think there is anything in it that subsequent events have falsified, but there is a passage speaking of Japan as a great power, and perhaps there ought to be some allusion to its fate. It is, however, as you choose.
With regard to the synopsis of Human Knowledge that I sent you, I am wondering whether it would be wise to try to make it sound more attractive, which I could do by means of actual quotations from it. I think the level of difficulty in it is about the same as in Our Knowledge of the External World; it is definitely easier than An Inquiry into Meaning and Truth. Perhaps it would be as well if I were to make another shot at a more attractive synopsis.2
Yours sincerely,
<signed> Russell
