Dear Unwin,

I enclose a letter from a man whose mastery of the English language will, I am sure, predispose you in his favour. I have not answered the letter, and I dare say you will not think it worth answering.

I received a letter from your firm enclosing proofs of the German edition of Power and asking me to look through them. I went through the translation at an earlier stage and made some corrections,1 so I do not think it necessary to go through the proofs again.
