Dear Unwin,

Thank you for your letter of June 2nd. I cannot at the moment remember what is in the article about “My Own Philosophy”,1 as I sent Hooper my only spare copy in view of the other having been lost. I doubt, however, whether I could advantageously lengthen it. I think it would be better to add various other articles which would make together a reasonable-sized book. If this idea appeals to you I will look through the available material on my return from France, i.e. during July.

I am glad to hear that the machining of the History is well in hand, but I gather you do not know how long the binding may take. I should rather like the reprint to appear during my lifetime, if possible, but I entirely appreciate your difficulties.
