Dear Unwin
I am very indignant with the Government on the subject of paper, as no doubt you are also. I should be very grateful if you would give me a rough estimate of how I am likely to be affected financially, and whether the reprint of my History is put off indefinitely. If I am not much affected in my own pocket, I should like to raise the matter in the Lords, in which case I imagine you could brief me.
Quite independently of how it affects me, I think the subordination of books to cinemas and greyhound racing is utterly abominable.
I shall be grateful if you will write to me both on the public and on the private issue.
Yours sincerely
Bertrand Russell.
