Dear Unwin
I am giving three lectures on Power at Geneva and Zurich in June.1 They said I could utilize my book on that subject, but now they say want to publish the lectures. As these will consist in the main of 2½ chapters from Power, this must be arranged with you. I don’t know whether you have any arrangement about French or German translations of that book. I should be glad to know your views on the subject.
Do you know yet when my History will be published?2 I hear that in USA to date it has sold 35,741 copies.
After Easter Sunday I shall be back at Cambridge.
Yours sincerely
Bertrand Russell.

The overall title was “The Ethics of Power”, and he also lectured in St. Gall, Bern and Basel. Russell prefaced a German translation of Power in 1947, but no French translation appeared until 2003.
