Dear Unwin
I have written to refuse van Thal’s offer.1 I should not have entertained it in the first place if I had realized he was after a book, not an article.
I like the idea of a collected edition of my books, but of course that is for after the war. In the meantime I don’t want to divert any of your stock of paper from my History so I don’t propose to offer you any small book at present.
Yours sincerely
Bertrand Russell.
