Dear Unwin
Thank you for your telegram and letter. I have made inquiries at this end but they were fruitless as the 2 parcels were not registered. It is only a nuisance, not a serious misfortune, as I have another copy. I addressed the proofs, in two parcels, not to you personally, but to “Messrs Allen & Unwin”. I suppose they can’t have been kept by some one in your office?
